SYNOPSIS
Five years after his first film, award-winning producer/director Torsten Hoffmann revisits the big brains and big egos behind Bitcoin and sets out to explore the evolution of the blockchain industry and its utopian ideas. Can this technology, designed to operate independent of trust and within a decentralized network, really provide a robust alternative to traditional banking and the Internet as we know it?

One drink and some finger food will be provided (sponsored by Decred) from 18:45. At 19:00 moderator Alan Tsen (SideFund) will host a short panel with Karen Cohen (Blockchain Australia), David Habibi (Decred) and Torsten Hoffmann (producer/director) to kick off the new year and discuss what's ahead for this industry in 2020. The film will start screening at 19:30. Other sponsors have prepared more goodies and special deals including free crypto currency.

Feature-length documentary filmed on 4 continents and supported by Screen Australia. The Treasury Theatre in CBD is a non-public State Heritage listed theatre on site of the former Treasury building which is located near Parliament Station behind the former Treasury building on Spring Street.
