Title: I've gone remote, now what ?
Description: We're living interesting yet challenging times as a society. A lot of things we take for granted are changing and we need to adapt quickly, most notably the way we work, collaborate and interact. Accelerated by the COVID19 pandemic, the remote work movement has been gaining a very strong traction and a lot of companies are moving away from an office-based setup and starting to embrace the remote side of things.
This talk intends to give you a first person testimony on the challenges and benefits when transitioning from an office based job to a remote company and a set of tips, best practices and lessons learned on how to leverage this setup so that you take the most and thrive with it instead of being a blocker to your personal and collective productivity.
Bio: Pedro is an all around software engineer who likes to work smartly to deliver great solutions for some hard problems. Since graduating from college, he's experimented different working environments, different product areas and experimented with different working methodologies. He also loves to give back to the community and to share lessons learned to try to help others avoid doing the same mistakes he has done.
