BCD Initiaive Walkabout - Bend Central District/Midtown

Join us in scouting a bit of the BCD. This is an opportunity to informally come together, share knowledge and discuss what's happening now, and in the near future, for the BCD. This is not a facilitated tour, but rather a chance to chat, share, learn, and discuss as we explore the area.

We'll meet at The Dogwood at the Pine Shed - 821 NE 2nd Street.

From there we'll walk to the corner of 1st and Hawthorne, to discuss the Hawthorne Crossing site, before turning south on 1st street to NE Franklin Ave.

There we'll share a bit about the Project PDX mixed-use development at the old Les Schwab location, and maybe a bit about the underpass.

We'll then make our way east on Franklin as we head back to 2nd street to head back to Dogwood and the food carts.

Along 2nd we can talk more about some of the infrastructure improvements in the area and some of the challenges and opportunities that the area in general brings.

We'll end back at the Dogwood and the food carts for snacks and drinks if the conversation is still flowing.
