What we’re about

This group is all about bringing local golfers of all abilities together for fun and new friendships. In this group you are going to have a lot of fun and meet some really great people! We have several meetups each month ranging from golf clinics and pitch and putts to free drop in golf leagues.

If you are interested in meeting new people, improving your golf game and having a lot of fun along the way, then this meetup group is for you!

If you would like to help out in the group we are always looking for great people to organize some golf meetups within the group.

As a perk, most golf courses will comp the organizer of the meetup with free golf that day providing we can bring x number of players. Typically 16 or more.

If you are interested in becoming an organizer within the group then please send me a message and we explore the options.

Hey everyone,
We're organizing a memorial golf tournament for our wonderful friend, Dave Brooks, who we sadly lost on June 14, 2024.

Dave loved golf, and he especially loved the friendly wagers that went along with it! So, to celebrate his memory, we're planning a round with some of the fun gambling games he enjoyed playing with us.

We'll be booking Green Tee Golf Course for June 14th at 11 am . We only have room for 32 players. The deadline to sign up is June 5th

The cost is $10 plus a $2 Meetup fee.

Here's a breakdown of the $10 $1 goes to PayPal processing, and $9 goes into the pot for our gambling games.

Here's how the games will work:

Front Nine (Team Play): We'll play in teams of two, switching partners every 3 holes so everyone gets a chance to play with everyone else. The team with the lowest total score for each hole wins that hole. Ties are a push. If a tie carries over after 3 holes, the money ($6) will be split between the two competitors. If a team wins after just two holes, we'll still play the third hole, but it won't affect the scoring.
Back Nine (Individual Play): We'll switch to individual competition, using the same rules as the team play. You'll compete against a different person every 3 holes. Don't worry if this sounds a little confusing – just bring your scorecard to the clubhouse after the round and we'll easily figure out the winners together.

After the round, we'll gather at the clubhouse /patio to award the winnings, share some stories, and raise a glass to Dave. It'll be a great opportunity to remember him and the good times we shared.

Come join the BCGolfPages Meetup Group for some golf and socializing!

Pitch and Putt is ideal for beginner golfers, so if you are new to golf come on out!

Pitch and Putt is also great way for the seasoned golfer to sharpen his/her short game. Did you know that whether you shoot 72, 92 or 122; Sixty five percent of your shots will come from 100 yards or less? Pitch and Putt is essential to becoming a better player and taking your game to the next level.

These meet-ups are non-competitive and the emphasis is on fun and meeting other golfers but hopefully we can all get a little better at golf as well.

Please arrive a little early and pay as soon as you arrive. We are going to meetup first between 9:40 and 9:50 just off to the side of the line up and then all join the line up together at 10:00 am sharp.

This will keep us together as a group and let us socialize a bit.

After each round we will have a social gathering at a local pub or restaurant for those that are interested.
