Wild Basin Monthly Stewardship Workday

Details

Stewardship workdays occur at Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve under the direction of the Preserve Manager or assigned staff. Volunteer efforts greatly expand our ability to maintain the 227 acres and 2.5 miles of trail at the preserve.

Wild Basin Monthly Stewardship Workday

Due to the complexity and intensity of these events participants must be 13yrs old and up. All minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

We will be working over steep and uneven terrain that has limited protection from the elements. Volunteers should be prepared to bend, squat, lift and twist during the workday. Please be sure to wear appropriate attire and shoes for these working conditions.

Space it limited and a reservation is required for project planning purposes. Please reach out to staff if you have questions about volunteering or project details.

August 16th Details
This month volunteers will assist with an ongoing restoration project along Triknee Trail. Several new cedar log steps have been installed, and we are now "rubbling" the side of the stairs as one of the final steps. Our task for Saturday will be to move rocks up to the project site and stage them for installation. Volunteers should expect to be working over uneven terrain with full sun exposure while moving heavy objects.

No registration on Meetup. You MUST visit the Wild Basin reservation site to reserve your spot(s).
