Get ready to burn some calories before Thanksgiving with Travis County Balcones Canyonlands Preserves’ Interpretive Guide for a turkey trek hike on the Canyon Loop trail at Grandview Hills. The trail winds approximately 2.8 miles along hillsides and small canyons of closed canopy woodlands for which the Balcones Canyonlands are named for. It's moderately difficult, with some steep hills and uneven ground. This time of year is great for fall migrating birds, and we may even get the chance to see some fall foliage.
Please wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes, long pants, and bring water, sun protection, and any needed allergy medications.
We will meet at the preserve gate at the end of Wilson Parke Ave. We will email more details to everyone registered on SignUp.com a few days before the hike.
