Fresh Voices is all about giving professionals the opportunity to take their first step in public speaking and develop their skills in a safe and friendly setting.

We have 3 speakers scheduled for our Feb event, each speaker will give a presentation for about 20-25 mins in length followed by Q&A and feedback.

'Dealing with an imperfect Agile world' with Maria Flores

Abstract: How to deal with less than perfect Agile work situations.Based on experience of dealing and surviving Agile interacting with not agile or pseudo-agile teams or work environments and further research in the matter.

Bio: Maria is an experienced Business Analyst currently working with ITV Careers and is also the Secretary of the BCS Business Change SG group as well as a data manager for the Woman in Management Network which is part of the Chartered Management Institute.

‘DevOps: Effecting Cultural Change in an Organisation’ with Brett Delle Grazie

Abstract: Examine how adopting DevOps principles and processes can effect cultural change between DevOps and Operations in an organisation.
Further evaluate if those principles and processes can be used in other parts of an organisation and what that means for the future of DevOps.

Bio: Brett has specialized in delivering DevOps automation within agile delivery programmes for 10 years. This has included large scale transformation projects in the public and private sector including Aviva, Klarna bank, Met Police and Ministry of Justice; optimizing quality and delivery and increasing release frequency to ensure real-world user feedback is incorporated into delivery from the beginning. Brett has recently been shortlisted for ‘DevOps Leader of the Year’ at the DevOps Excellence Awards which will take place in March 2018.

'Coaching techniques for empowerment and leadership’ with Anna Rondina

Abstract: In Agile transformation initiatives, the best strategies, roadmaps, methodologies, processes and frameworks may be put in place to steer the necessary changes, but it is the people that will make this work.The non-directive nature of coaching lends itself well for knowing them as people and helping them to harness their individual excellence and with them, creating the right ways of working that suit them and allow them to show their best.In an experiential format, we will explore how different coaching techniques can empower and bring out the best in you and others.

Bio: Anna contributed and worked on successful transformation initiatives in diverse sectors that span investment banking, the government and NGOs. She is a coach/mentor at ‘The Aspire Foundation’ whose aim is to make a difference to 1 billion women and girls by 2020. Through these experiences and her academic studies, she has witnessed how the power of coaching for shaping personal and business transactions builds the foundations and an environment in which individuals flourish and thrive.
