How can businesses use space to spread new ideas? Let's Party + Brainstorm to find out.

Join this curated networking event with interactive sessions, hosted at The Greenhouse at the Urban Garden Center (http://www.urbangardennyc.com/) in East Harlem. The unique space inspires minds to think openly and connect with fellow entrepreneurs, designers, small business owners, community organizers, and visionaries. The gathering will reflect on the importance of community in launching a successful business--whether local or hi-tech.

Check out these features on The Urban Garden's Center creative use of space in the NYTimes (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/29/nyregion/at-the-urban-garden-center-the-smell-of-mulch-and-the-sound-of-music.html?_r=2) and TimeOut NY (http://www.timeout.com/newyork/food-drink/moscow-57-under-the-tracks-dirt-to-dinner).

Topic: New York City is full of interesting people and tons of buildings. Now there is a movement to "break down the walls" and connect to create a new economy based on community, ecosystems, and creativity. How does physical space help facilitate the connections we need to share ideas? How are businesses using space creatively and effectively to spread new ideas? What potential does this method have to change the city-- and even the world?

Format: Short, high energy introduction of the theme and featured companies, followed by a casual reception with music and tables where featured guests create an interactive session for guests to learn about their company and how they use community and space
