What we’re about
We find people that is willing to talk and answer questions about their lived experience (a specific topic) - and then we host public events where people can come, see available topics, and sit down with one of our volunteers (called "Strangers") in a one-on-one conversation where they are allowed to ask anything about it.
We hope to promote curiosity and understanding through safe spaces for connection and conversations. Events are help in random pop up spaces, like markets, shopping centres, halls, schools and organisations.
Topics our volunteers talk about ranges from their culture, status, health, disabilities, occupations, hobbies, gender, appearance, lifestyle, sexuality, religion, survival stores and everything inbetween. We hope to give people different levels of engagement, so they can just talk to, for instance - a teacher, or even a rape survivor.
The intimate conversation allows for people to not feel judged for the questions they might have, and give context to their specific interests in the topic they chose.
