Paint Your Pet! - Painting with a Twist (Alamo Heights)

Hi all! I recently did a Painting with a Twist event and really enjoyed it, so I wanted to organize one for the group.

I decided to hold it at the Alamo Heights location because that one seems closest to central San Antonio, so it's likely convenient for the most people.

Rather than trying to find a single painting that we could all work on that would appeal to the largest number of people, I opted instead for one of their Paint Your Pet! events. All of us with fur babies love them, and I'm sure a lot of us would be excited to try our hand at painting them. If you don't have a pet, I'm sure you can just work from a picture of an animal you like.

I just spoke with Priscilla from Painting with a Twist, and she said that they can accommodate a decent number of people at a time in one of these events, so we can hopefully get several of us from our group to go! Obviously, as people outside of our group buy tickets, there will be less available for us, so I'd recommend getting your ticket relatively early if you can. Also, be sure to let them know that you're with the MeetUp group when you book your tickets, so they know to seat us all together.

Note that you will need to email a clear photo of your pet to the studio in advance for them to create a starter sketch for you to work from. Also, pricing differs somewhat based on the medium you choose to paint on (see the purchase link below). Here are all the details from the website:

CLASSES BEGIN PROMPTLY AT SCHEDULED TIME

Please arrive to class 10-15 minutes early to give yourself time to sign in, open your drinks and prepare your snacks! If you’re coming with others, but making reservations separately, give us your group name in the Special Request Box and we'll seat you together.

BYOB- Feel free to bring any kind of beverage or snack while you paint! We do NOT provide ice, however we do provide plastic cups, wine openers and chillers. Our BYOB is intended for adult painters only who are 21 and over, however we do permit 15 of age and up to paint!

RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT POLICY

Reservations made online is required to guarantee you a saved seat. If you do not prefer to pay online you can call our studio (210-462-1397) and make a payment over the phone.

CANCELLATIONS!

NO REFUND POLICY. If you are unable to make it to your painting we will be happy to issue you a store credit towards a future painting at our location with a 24 hour notice. This credit does not expire! "NO SHOWS" will not be issued store credit or refund.
