What we’re about
Be More You is run by Jonathan Goldsmith a Psychotherapist, Hypnotherapist, Generative Coach and Facilitator who work in private practice with individuals and couples for one to one therapy and works in businesses and organisations as a coach and trainer.
He is is a founder member, developer and supervisor with an international community of therapists, coaches, trainers and people who work in transformational change called: The International Association of Generative Change (IAGC). The IAGC see Creativity as being at the heart of any kind of change work. For us to be 'Generative' is to create something new; How do you create a successful and meaningful work life? How do you create great personal relationships? How do you develop a great relationship with yourself — your body, your past, your future, your wounds and your gifts? These are the basic challenges in leading an extraordinary life. It's a fantastic organisation to belong to and be a part of.
Jonathan also works with Stephen Gilligan Ph.D. , one of the leading developers in the field of Trance work and a student of the legendary Milton Erickson.
His prior life was working in event production, hospitality and the creative industries which has led me to be involved with various creative projects utilising Generative Change principles included helping produce immersive theatre shows in New York and London. He continues to collaborate with artists, musicians, chefs, actors, and performers and sees that the creative arts are an area in which the principles of Generative Change thrive.
He believes there is a really exciting place where Personal Transformation meets the Creative Arts and this is where he is developing part of his work, into creating immersive transformational workshops and events.. All art, music, theatre is something that is processed by both parts of our brains and psyches (the conscious and unconscious parts) and for him Creativity and Therapy are essentially the same process: A conversation between the conscious and unconscious parts of ourselves.
He takes Personal Transformation out of traditional 'workshop' spaces and into the real world, parks, galleries, churches and museums as well as using a cross-modal approach including the best parts of immersive theatre, ritual and storytelling.
He is a partner in a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Training school called PPD Learning. Jonathan together with Master Trainer Judith Lowe developing new kinds of events, workshops and training opportunities.
Their vision is to develop and inspire people in the world-wide field of Neuro Linguistic Programming NLP who want to explore, experiment, extend and enrich their skills to acquire expertise, mastery and artistry in NLP. PPD Learning has over 25 Years of working in the field of NLP, and is proud to boast a corporate client list as varied as: Channel 4, Evening Standard, Time out, Orange, IBM, Rolls Royce, British Airways, John Lewis, Selfridges, Deloitte, American Express to Chelsea Football Club.
They offer new kinds of events and advanced training opportunities, specially designed for coaches, therapists, trainers and everyone who wants to take their NLP practice to new levels of integration and effectiveness. We are promoting a warm-hearted, relational, systemic, intelligent, skillful and creative approach in using the tools of NLP. They believe that the core tools, skills and principles of systemic NLP enhance leadership and contribution in fundamental, positive and practical ways – and in the direction of a more peaceful, just and sustainable world.
They believe it is possible to become a 'Picasso' of NLP: creative, spontaneous, gifted, innovative, expressive and influential. As they see it, the originazl vision of NLP was that not only would it be an extension of applied linguistics, neurology and psychology, and create useful, effective models patterned from various human activities, but that it would also be a professional field in itself with a unique skillset, purpose and methodology.
They believe mastery and artistry are possible in NLP and that, beyond the basics, there is a joyous, life-enhancing, generative pathway of learning, towards genuine, measurable, personal and professional achievement and wellbeing.
