Hi Ultracoderz!

We’re happy to announce the next Intel Ultracode Munich meetup and the first of 2014!

This time, we’ll dive into another exciting subject (with which you are obviously related to in a way or another): Connected Objects. We were looking for interesting talks on this theme, so we decided to focus on Intel Galileo (http://intel.ly/1g5wg9k) new development board.

Then we went directly in touch with Marc from Internet of Things Munich (https://www.meetup.com/IoTMunich) community with who we ended up deciding to merge our meetups for this edition. We also wanted to involve some concrete robotics stuff and after a quick chat with Andrey from München Robotics Enthusiasts (https://www.meetup.com/Munchen-robotics-enthusiasts/) community we also agreed on mixing communities.

We’ll then have 3 talks then we’ll finish around beers, pizza and demo of your currents projects, see the call for project below:

Collecting sensor data (like video, telemetry, positioning, etc.) and transmitting commands in real-time to control remote vehicles is not a trivial task. It gets even more complicated if it should be done over unpredictable communication channel such as Internet. I will describe our approach for high quality monitoring and remote control of the robotics vehicle, then the outline of the core hardware building blocks.
