Welcome to the Small Business Networking Group: Carmel Valley
Due to an overflow of interest in this group, we have created two separate small business networking groups. The first group meets on the 2nd Wednesday of every month and the second group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. I encourage individuals to choose only one group to be part of as the forum works best when there are between 10 to 20 active members. Same guidelines and itinerary for both groups and NO FEES outside of $10 to $15 to cover food at each event.
Purpose:
To facilitate meaningful connections, collaboration, and support among local small businesses, empowering them to thrive and contribute positively to the community.
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to create a dynamic networking environment where small business owners can forge valuable relationships to exchange resources, ideas, and expertise to foster growth and success for each member. Through regular meetings we aim to cultivate a vibrant community that champions entrepreneurship, innovation, and mutual support, ultimately driving economic development and growth throughout San Diego.

Group Information:
• 10 to 20 members that meet on a monthly basis
• Members are comprised of small business owners and sales professionals across various industries
• Members have minimal overlap in the same industry (e.g., keep direct competition limited)
• Members are committed to attending 75% of regular meetings
• Members are allowed to bring up to two guests per meeting
• Guests may join the group if 1) achieve at least 75% of member votes, 2) does not materially increase direct competition, and 3) total group size is not greater than 20 regular members
• No cost to become a member (food & drink costs may be collected at events); Group is independent
Meeting Agenda:
• 11:45 to 12:00 – Open network
• 12:00 to 12:20 – One minute per member to discuss their business (e.g., elevator pitch)
• 12:20 to 12:30 – #1 featured member (rotating schedule); more in-depth business pitch
• 12:30 to 12:50 – One minute per member to 1) share what they learned and 2) how they can help other members (e.g., feedback, referrals, ideas, etc.)
• 12:50 to 1:00 – Open Network
Guests:
All guests are welcomed to check out the group and be part of the current roster (free of charge) pending the above guidelines. The current membership roster is comprised of professionals in several industries across real estate, finance, health & wellness, law, marketing, and more.
