Welcome to The Gulf Beach Art Center’s creative community!
Located in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, The Gulf Beach Art Center is a nonprofit community art center bringing people together through art, creativity, and connection.
This group is a place to discover upcoming art classes, workshops, open studios, pottery, special programs, and creative events for adults and youth. Whether you’re an experienced artist, trying something new, or simply looking for a fun and welcoming way to get creative, there’s a place for you here.
Our programs explore a variety of mediums and skill levels, with opportunities to learn from local artists, develop new skills, meet other creative people, and become part of our growing arts community.

Brushes on the Beach: Plein Air Art Walk & Celebration

Plein air is the art of painting outdoors, inspired by the scenery and atmosphere of the moment.On December 5, 30 artists will set up throughout Sand Key, Belleair Beach, Indian Rocks Beach and Indian Shores for Brushes on the Beach: A Plein Air Art Walk & Celebration.
Take the Art Walk | 10 AM–3 PM
Explore at your own pace as you travel through our four beach communities. Watch artists paint along the beaches, waterways and local landmarks, meet the artists, stop for lunch at a local restaurant, spend some time on the sand and enjoy the communities along the way.Gallery Show & Celebration | 5–7 PM
Then head to the Beach Art Center, where the paintings created that day will be displayed while they’re still fresh off the easel. Meet the artists, see the finished works, enjoy the celebration and have the opportunity to purchase an original painting created that day.MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT
Coming from out of town? Plan a weekend on the Gulf Beaches! Stay nearby, enjoy our beaches, restaurants and coastal communities, and make Brushes on the Beach part of your weekend getaway.
