Tropical sunset walk through the Southwest Corridor Park
Details
Celebrate 70-degree weather along Boston's scenic Southwest Corridor Park, a dedicated walking and biking path separated from street traffic.
This route takes you through the historic South End. We'll walk the most scenic part of the corridor and turn back at Mass Ave:
- Start at 40 Charles St: Head south on Charles Street toward the Boston Common.
- Public Garden & Common: Cross Beacon Street to enter the Boston Public Garden or stay on the sidewalk along the edge of the Common.
- To Boylston Street: Walk through or around the park to reach Boylston Street.
- Charles Street South: Continue onto Charles Street South, heading toward the Theater District/Park Plaza area.
- Onto Columbus Avenue: Turn right onto Columbus Avenue. This street serves as the primary corridor leading toward the park's entrance.
- Enter Southwest Corridor Park: The northern section of the park begins near the Back Bay T Station (Dartmouth St).
- The South End Stretch: Walk south along the park’s paved pedestrian path, which runs parallel to Columbus Avenue through the South End.
- Destination (Mass Ave): Continue until you reach the intersection of the park and Massachusetts Avenue, near the Mass Ave Orange Line station.
