Beads and Brushstrokes

Class begins at 5:30 PM on Thursday evenings, and the cost is $36.00. The class will run approximately 60 minutes. Learn how to make stretch bracelets the right way, and how to use crimps & beading wire to add a clasp to your creations.

Dive into the art of soldering with our hands-on Soldering for Beginners. This class is perfect for those new to silversmithing or looking to build confidence with a torch.
What You’ll Learn:

• The fundamentals of soldering, including techniques for using hard, medium, easy, and extra easy solder.
• How to make and solder jump rings from 16-gauge sterling silver wire.
• Crafting a custom 18-inch sterling silver chain and a 14-gauge sterling "S" hook clasp.
• Essential finishing techniques like cleaning, filing, tumbling, and polishing to bring your chain to a professional shine.

All tools and materials will be provided. Just bring your enthusiasm and creativity! By the end of this class, you’ll have not only a stunning handmade sterling silver chain but also a strong foundation in soldering to continue your silversmithing journey.

Materials not included.

Students will learn to determine their ring size and design a ring with a stone cabochon. Students will measure and create bezel and then solder to the back plate. All set in sterling. Students will also have the option to use decorative trim.
