EVENT:

This will be an urban hike through the historic North Side, North Shore, Point State Park, and parts of Downtown Pittsburgh. This hike is about 6 miles long, but there are tons of bail points for those who want to do a shorter hike. The pace of this hike will be moderate, but we will stop often to take photos. Hence, I expect to complete the hike in around 2.5 to 3 hours.

We will meet at the Hampton Battery Monument (Allegheney Commons Park) on Cedar Street @ 461 Cedar Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Please use the link below for the exact location...

After the hike, if there is sufficient interest, we can walk over to Allegheney City Brewing for drinks/food.

CONSIDERATIONS:

1. This is an urban hike with mostly concrete and cinder walking surfaces, and no hills. Please wear comfortable footwear. Hiking shoes are not necessary. Feel free to wear your Street clothes.
2. Given the urban nature of this hike, dogs are not allowed at this event.
3. As for parking, there is plenty of parking along Cedar Ave. and side streets.
4. Please understand that as an adult, your safety and health are your own responsibility. The hikes offered by this group are free and voluntary; therefore, the hike leader is not culpable for your safety and health.
