Ten Falls Loop Trail

When: October 4th, 2025, Saturday.

• If you are carpooling, meet at Sunset Transit Center at 7:30am. We will wait 10 min. and then leave. It’s about a 1hr 10min. drive to the trailhead.
• If you are driving yourself (not carpooling), meet at South Falls Lodge Trailhead at 9:00am. (*please note, there are multiple trailheads, so be sure to arrive at the correct one – the south one, closest to the south lodge/cafe).

Parking: A Discover Pass or pay at the trailhead ($10) is required.

Trail details: Ten Falls Loop Trail has, 10 waterfalls on all 1 trail!! This is a hike you don’t want to miss! It’s one of my favorite day waterfall hikes within short driving from Portland, and I make sure to do a few times each year. It’s about 7.8 miles, moderate, with 1200 elevation gain, 4 of the waterfalls we will be able to pass behind them. It will be about 3.5-4 hrs. total hiking, easy-moderate pace.

More details:

• Bring snacks/food, water, hiking shoes, rain jacket, etc.
• There are multiple sections of the area/trail that do not have cell reception, so please text host before you get to Silverton area if you have questions, need to coordinate, or going to be late.
• Optional: Hiking poles, extra layer(s) for warmth.
• There is a bathroom at the beginning of the trailhead, and also ½ way through the loop.

We either will grab lunch at the cafe (if it's open) at Silver Falls Lodge, go into Silverton for lunch, or just head back to PDX. We will discuss after the hike, but regardless we should be back by 3pm.

*Please note, there are no dogs allowed for the route of trail we are doing. Keep your fur babies at home.
