Becoming Artful Women - Weekly Art Therapy Support Group

This is an art therapy group for women who want to feel more connected and supported by each other through the exploration of feelings and experience using art making and creativity. This event is for women who are feeling a lack of connection and a disquiet with how things are for them right now. **
The session will be organised as follows:
- 5 minutes introduction to the group, discussing boundaries and confidentiality
- 5 minutes to briefly introducing yourself and why you are here
- 20 minutes to create your artwork (microphones on and cameras on to feel more a part of the group while creating)
- 60 mins of exploration into the everyone's individual artwork as a group
My name is Amy Lou, I will be hosting this event, I will be keeping the structure, maintaining the flow of the group with time management and guiding the group in its exploration and support of each other.
Please make sure your computer or device is fixed and you are in a private safe space where you can dedicate this time to yourself and freely be creative.
Please have your art materials ready to use in the session, this can be as simple as a pen/pencil and a piece of paper to more elaborate like paints, paper collage materials, clay or anything else that fuels your creativity. Do keep in mind that there is a time constraint of 20mins to create your artwork within the session. But you are more than welcome to keep developing it after the session should you want to.
Also be aware that I will ask that all cameras are on throughout the session to create a shared, open and honest space.
