THURSDAY - Northill Cowshed 10.8 Mile Walk
Details
I thought for this months walk we would try something a bit different .
Yes it’s a Thursday circular walk of around 10 miles, with a mid-point stop for a drink and snack . Around 2 miles/ 40 minutes from the end of the walk we will be stopping at The Cowshed for a quick coffee, tea etc , the £3 cost of the walk will cover the cost of the drink .
We gather at Northill Pond , outside The Crown Public House , postcode SG189AA.
Our mainly off-road route takes us through the villages of Ickwell, Broom and Old Warden and then it is countryside all the way back to Northill. If you joined us for our December walk you may recognise elements of the first half of the walk .
The second half of the route is all along tracks that we have not walked on a Thursday before !
We will be walking through several woods , mainly on firm tracks although there could be a few short stretches where mud is prevalent even in May.
We will be walking at around 3 MPH so a fair level of fitness will be required.
If you are a first timer please read the 'About us...' section on the homepage before signing up for this walk, ensuring appropriate fitness and suitability.
