Saturday Alternative Walk – The Settle 10 mile circular walk.

For those of you that would like to come along for the weekend, but don't quite feel ready for the 3 Peaks Challenge, or you may have already done it, here is a lovely alternative walk for you to enjoy.

The Settle Circular Walk involves seeing some of the best caves and waterfalls in the Yorkshire Dales. Including Jubilee and Victoria Caves and Catrigg Force and Scaleber Force waterfalls. Perhaps above all, is the superb limestone landscape on display at Attermire Scar.

Start point -
The Knights Table Pub, Little Stainforth, Settle BD24 0DP

Walk Starts at: 09:30

Parking: Free Parking at the entrance to the camp site

Distance: 10 Miles

Total Ascent: 2200ft

Walk Time: Approx 4 hrs (includes stoppages)

Weather - The Yorkshire Dales are notorious for their unpredictable weather, even in the height of summer it can turn nasty so please come equipped for all eventualities.

Refreshments: Bring a snack and a drink for the walk, there is a Pub at the end for tea and cake.

Toilets will be available at the start, and at the end of the walk.

Hiking and hillwalking are activities with a danger of personal injury. Participants in these activities should be aware of, accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
