Ashridge Boundry Walk (16 Mile Circular Walk)

Details

This months long walk is the classic Ashridge Boundary Walk.
This 16-mile walk goes through some of the most delightful places in the forests and valleys of the Ashridge estate and extends onto the Ancient Ridgeway and up to Ivinghoe Beacon offering stunning views across the Aylesbury Vale.

What to Expect
A 16 mile walk through woodland and open countryside. This is a rewarding but quite challenging walk due to the amount of ascent. The paths around Ashridge and on the Ridgeway are good but well used and may be quite muddy in places. There are a few climbs on the Ridgeway to tackle, including Ivinghoe Beacon, total ascent is 1200ft. The pace will be just over 3 MPH throughout the walk.

Due to the distance and amount of ascent this walk is quite challenging and is suitable for anyone with a GOOD standard of walking fitness.

If you are a first timer please read the 'About us...' section on the homepage before signing up for this walk, ensuring appropriate fitness and suitability.

If you can't make the walk please change your RSVP in plenty of time to allow others the chance to attend.
