Autumn in Ashridge - 11 Mile Walk

Ashridge is a great place to walk, whatever the season but is particularly spectacular in the autumn when the beech, oak and lime trees add their unique shades to produce some wonderful colours. The different shades of the trees and the great views of the surrounding countryside make this a great walk.

What to Expect
A 11 mile walk mainly on good tracks and small lanes, some tracks may be muddy and uneven in places. There will be a few hills to tackle but nothing too steep and a total ascent of around 950ft. We will maintain a pace of just over 3mph throughout the walk.

This is a lovely walk that is reasonably challenging due to the distance and ascent. It is suitable for anyone that is a regular walker with a good standard of fitness.

Start point : The Ashridge Visitor Centre HP4 1LT.

Meet on the green opposite the Café.

Walk Time: Approx 4 hrs (includes stoppages)

Refreshments: We will be having a short break around the halfway point so bring a drink and some lunch

There is a £3.00 charge for the walk.

Toilets: There are toilets available at the end of the walk.

No Dogs allowed.
