8 mile Walk followed by a Christmas Lunch

🎄It's that time again—Christmas is on its way! 🎄

To celebrate the season and another fantastic year of BWC walking, we will be hosting an 8-mile walk to build up an appetite, followed by a splendid Christmas lunch at the Green Man in Eversholt.

Xmas Jumpers and Santa hats are not compulsory 🎅

What to Expect

The Walk.
A steady 8 mile walk mainly on good tracks and small lanes, some tracks may be a bit muddy and uneven in places. There will be a few ups and downs but nothing too challenging, total ascent of just 500ft. We will maintain a pace of just over 3mph throughout the walk.

You may want to bring something to change into for the lunch especially if the weather forecast is predicting wet weather.

You can just come along for the meal if you don't fancy the walk beforehand. Let the walk leader know and meet at the pub at 12.00

The Lunch.
There will be a choice of 2 or 3 courses for the meal with 4 options for each course, including a traditional Christmas dinner, fish and vegetarian/vegan options.

The price of the meal is - 2 Courses £33, 3 Courses £40 PLUS 10% Service Charge.

Full payment and menu choice can be given to me on any walk BEFORE 23rd NOVEMBER, or if you can’t make a walk before then, you can pay by Bank Transfer.

The Finer Points
Meet at the Green Man, Church End Eversholt, Milton Keynes MK17 9DU

Walk Starts: 09:30

Lunch Starts: 12:00

Guests: Guests are welcome to come along.

There is no charge for the walk (Christmas treat 🙂).

Parking: We can park in the pub car park while we are out on the walk. The car park is not large so please car share where possible.

Distance: 8 Miles

Total Ascent: 500ft

Walk Time: Approx 2.5 hrs

Refreshments: We will NOT be having a break on the walk, don’t want to spoil your appetite for the dinner.

Toilets will be available at the end of the walk.

No Dogs allowed.

Hiking and hillwalking are activities with a danger of personal injury. Participants in these activities should be aware of, accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
