Ampthill Park - Clophill (11 Mile Circular walk)

A very nice 11 mile walk passing through the lovely countryside between Ampthill Park and Clophill. The walk passes the ruins of Houghton house and through Kings Wood and Maulden Wood before returning to Ampthill.

What to Expect

A 11 mile walk mainly on good tracks, some paths may be muddy in places. There will be a few hills, with one long steep ascent. Total ascent 900ft. We will maintain our usual pace of just over 3mph throughout the walk.

This walk is not too challenging and is suitable for regular walkers with a reasonable standard of walking fitness.

Refreshments: There will be a break at about the halfway point so bring a drink and a snack.

Public Toilets: There are toilets available in the park café close to the start and end of the walk.

Charge: There is a £3:00 charge for the walk to cover admin fees for the organiser.
Payment is by cash, card or contactless on the day
