This is a challenging but lovely walk and one of my personal favourites. We start with a climb up Ivinghoe Beacon and a walk around the delightful woodland and countryside of Ashridge estate before joining the Ancient Ridgeway national trail following it back to Ivinghoe beacon seeing some glorious views over the vale of Aylesbury.

What to Expect
A 11.5 mile walk mainly on good tracks and small lanes, some tracks may be muddy and uneven in places. There will be rolling hills and some steep climbs, total ascent 1300ft. We will maintain a pace of just over 3mph throughout the walk.

This walk will be challenging due to some very steep climbs and overall total amount of ascent. It is suitable for anyone with a good standard of walking fitness.

If you are a first timer please read the 'About us...' section on the homepage before signing up for this walk, ensuring appropriate fitness and suitability. If you are unsure please contact the walk leader.

If you can't make the walk please change your RSVP in plenty of time to allow others to attend.
