This Deepdale and RSPB circular walk heads through
Deepdale Woods, passing a tree nursery and following the
Nuthatch Trail towards the RSPB Nature Reserve. Key highlights of the walk include the ascent to the Galley Hill Iron Age hillfort and the Tree of Life owl sculpture. The return leg of the loop skirts the Sandy Heath Quarry.

What to expect
A varied mix of quiet grassy paths, and open fields. The route features gentle inclines and is suitable for anyone with a good standard of walking fitness- we typically maintain a pace of just over 3mph throughout the walk.
