Details
Many have proclaimed that Old Warden is “Bedfordshire’s prettiest village” and they may well be right. This short, but perfectly formed circular walk starts at St Leonards Church in Old Warden. It takes in ancient woods, pretty village cottages and the edge of the Shuttleworth estate, before veering off to Ickwell village green.

Start/End Point: Church Lane, Old Warden, Bedfordshire SG18 9HD

What to expect
A varied mix of quiet grassy paths, and footpaths. A small section of road walking. The route features one steep incline as we walk through Warden Warren Wood near to the start, but the rest is fairly flat. It is suitable for anyone with a good standard of walking fitness- we typically maintain a pace of just over 3mph throughout the walk.
