Priory Marina & The Embankment 5 miles circular (summer evening walk)

This beautiful Bedford Riverside circular walk combines the paths around Priory Marina and Country Park with the River Great Ouse path leading towards Bedford town centre along the River Great Ouse.

What to expect
This is a popular route, so we may be sharing the paths with other walkers, cyclists and runners. Footpaths are all even and this walk is flat- It is suitable for anyone with a good standard of walking fitness- we typically maintain a pace of just over 3mph throughout the walk.

Start/Finish point:
Barkers Lane Car Park – The main car park for visitors to the Country Park, located off Barkers Lane, Bedford, MK41 9DJ
Walk Starts: 18:30pm
Parking: Free
Distance: 5 Miles
Walk Time: Approx. 2hrs
Refreshments: please bring water (and a small snack if you wish)
Public Toilets: there are toilets at the start point and on the embankment- however it is likely that these will already be locked.
Cost: There is a £2 charge payable by cash at the start of the walk
