This 5-mile circular walk starts by the stunning River Ouse, on the grass opposite The Anchor pub in Great Barford. This is a popular summer hangout, so if the sun is shining expect to see paddleboarding, swimming and families having picnics.

What to expect
This route features is fairly flat and is mostly on defined footpaths. It is suitable for anyone with a good standard of walking fitness- we typically maintain a pace of just over 3mph throughout the walk.

The Finer Points
Start/Finish point: parking can be tricky- there are some spaces outside the church on New Road, and opposite the Scout Activity Centre there is a small carpark. Please do not use The Anchor pub as there are parking restrictions.

Refreshments: please bring water (and a small snack if you wish)
Public Toilets: there are no toilets
Cost: There is no charge for this walk in support of Bedford School's Wellbeing Week
