This is the Vancouver chapter of Code for Canada. Code for Canada (http://community.codeforcanada.org/) was inspired by Code for America (https://www.codeforamerica.org/)'s Code for All (http://codeforall.org/about/) movement. We're group of Canucks from Vancouver to Toronto who believe that digital technology opens new channels for citizens to more meaningfully engage in the public sphere and have a positive impact on their communities in Canada.

Founded in 2012 -the Open Data Society of BC is a grassroots member driven nonprofit organization that is dedicated to supporting the open data community in British Columbia. The Organization is run by Society board members who all volunteer their time to help make BC and Canada a better place through open data.
