Storytelling Night: Where are you from?

BeeFun Academy went on a road trip to Amsterdam and was inspired by Mezrab to start hosting a regular Storytelling Night. We decided to create our own Storytelling Night in Brno, starting with our least favourite question: Where are you from?

We get this question a lot because we speak English in the Czech Republic, making it obvious we are not from here. People want to know where we’re from because they want something that connects them to us. If we’ve been to your home country, it might create an instant connection; more often, it gets a head nod, maybe accompanied by "cool".

Let’s use this opportunity to tell a story that everyone can relate to. Instead of giving a one-word answer that either makes a connection or doesn't. Let’s tell our origin story to give each other more opportunities to connect to it. During this Storytelling Night, we will have people from six different countries share their origin stories.
