What we’re about
If you wish to join the group, we do ask that you either register under your real name or place a photo of yourself in your profile, as we are a real-world activity, meeting face-to-face. We do not accept anonymous, made up internet-tags as identity when registering to either join or attend; we take the safety and welfare of our members seriously, and if you try to register anonymously, you will be removed from the group and your account referred to Meetup.
We meet most Fridays for a sociable evening of boardgames and conversation in a local bar or restaurant - usually the Firebowl bowling alley, where we summer in the beer garden and winter in the function room.
The organisers bring the games and are happy (well, most of the time ^^) to teach rules, explain games, and help introduce you to new folk. You're also more than welcome to bring your own games. We have a wide selection, which stretches from fun, casual party games, to super heavy strategy, and we periodically rotate out our games selection, so there's a bit of variety for our regulars. We run it as much as a social meet as a gaming group, so drinking, eating, and chatting are all part of the experience.

German and English are the two main languages people use to communicate in the group.
