Sheds and Boardgames
Details
One things I miss living in Heidelberg - where we all live in flats - is a good, solid garden shed: The smell of badly-made homebrew wine, petrol, and old roll ups: ineptly-hidden porno mags and boxes full of rusty nails. . Nothing quite like the peace of sitting on an old tin of paint, smoking in peace, whilst the chaos of the world rages outside. So, whilst we cannot offer you an actual shed for sanctuary this Friday, we can provide the spirit of the shed: four walls, through which the weight of responsibility and the nonsense of the outside world cannot penetrate.
Please bring CASH to pay for your food and drinks. No cards in this shed, no siree!
How does it work: Our shed this week will meet at 19:00, in the back room of Firebowl bowling alley. The organisers bring along a selection of board and card games for people to play, plus some rusty gardening tools. We're also very happy if you want to bring one of your own games! We have wide variety, from fun, casual party games, all the way up heavy-duty strategy nonsense.
We're there to help explain rules and set people up with new games (usually 7 - 7:30pm), so don't worry if you're a newbie. After that, we'll still be around, but playing something ourselves. Our members are a lovely bunch, and very welcoming.
