What we’re about
This is a group for all those who enjoy craft beer. Whether you're just starting out with the occasional sour or that person who is psyched about the next Double Imperial Oatcream Sour Chocolate Cake Stout this is a great chance to meet others with whom to share your interests.
Steph and I are keen to meet new people to share our ongoing journey of exploration and discovery in what is clearly an exploding industry in Australia if not world-wide.
The plan is to host monthly events in craft beer bars or breweries around Melbourne. In addition we will be on the lookout for special events:
- new openings
- beer festivals
- tap take-overs
- new releases
- brewery crawls
- organised trips to those hard-to-reach breweries outside Melbourne and perhaps even interstate
This is an inclusive and non-judgmental group built on a principle of mutual respect.
Let beer unite us.

Its Pint of Origin '25! This year I want to simplify things whilst maximising our exposure to the variety of beers available at Poo25. I propose we attempt at least the first three venues of Brunswick Crawl.
- Starting at the Woodlands Hotel in Coburg (Regional NSW)
- Then on to Miss Moses in Brunswick (Sydney)
- Finally stopping off at CoConspirators in Brunswick (Brisbane)
Those of us with more fortitude might want to head for the final two venues, completing their passport for the prize draw.
4. The Sporting Club in Brunswick (ACT)
5. Bridge Road Brewers in Brunswick East (Regional Victoria)
From their website (Pint of Origin 2025 homepage)
“#PoO Mini Crawls
The best way to enjoy Pint of Origin is to grab some mates and head out on a crawl of a few venues – or a few crawls over the course of the ten days.
To make things easy in 2025, we've suggested some #PoO25 Mini-Crawls in the West, Brunswick, Central and South & East regions of Melbourne, plus one you can navigate on The 86 Tram.
Better still, visit all of the venues in any Mini-Crawl – getting your Passport stamped as you go – and you'll go into our prize draw at the end of the festival.
Maps of the Mini-Crawls will appear here as the festival approaches – for now, you can view them all on the full #PoO25 map.”
