Welcome to our Beginner Group Singing Lessons Meetup Group!
Have you thought about singing lessons for a long time but always felt a bit scared to take the plunge? Does 1:1 feel too much for you right now, but maybe a choir isn't what you're looking for, either?
Maybe you think you can't sing, so think it isn't for you? (It IS for you! If you want to sing, I want you to, too!)
Do you want to explore how to sing well, in a fun class with a friendly and experienced teacher?
Join us!
I run two different types of class:
1. Tuesdays in Rottingdean (term time).
Sing lots of different songs from various genres, chosen by class members. Some work on how to sing, and singing in harmony. No pressure, no performances.
2. Foundations Course. Brighton
A short course in singing technique for beginner singers. Twice per year.
Working on:
Breath and the body/alignment; resonance; diction; how to use your ears/pitching/harmony
(you will not be expected to sing solo at all!)
It sounds intense, but I promise I'll make it fun!
Whether you're new to singing, wanting a group to sing songs with without pressure, or looking to learn more about technique, both of these options will help you to feel more confident in singing well, and have fun in the process!

Always wanted to learn the basics of singing technique but a bit scared of being heard? Maybe you'd prefer to learn in a fun group, and not sing alone.
This is the course for you!
If you've never had a singing lesson or haven't sung since school, you really want to sing but are nervous about taking that step to joining a choir, come and learn the basics of singing technique with others who feel similarly!

Book hereI'm a classical singer but have taught many students who do musical theatre, folk, pop and rock.
We'll look at breath and the body, resonance, pitch and singing in tune, as well as some differences when singing in different genres.
Come and explore your voice!
I promise you will not have to sing solo, and if you're one of the many people who believe they "can't " sing, you're particularly welcome!I hope to see you there!
