Beginners...this one's for you: Ruth Arcand Park in the heart of Anchorage

Details
It's about damn time, Beginners! We've had 3 Intermediate hikes and now I'm turning the spot light on you. This hike is short, easy, close to you.
Let's get outside after work but before our other responsibilities start. I propose hiking just under 3 miles (minimal elevation gain) at Ruth Arcand Park from 3:30pm - 4:30-ish, on Wednesday, 8/13/25.
It's one of my favs for the simple fact that it's a slice of multiple terrains, "dense boreal forest, with towering spruce and birch trees...wetlands and meadows" (from AllTrails) spectacular views of the Chugach Mountains, and right here in the middle of town.
I'm bringing my dogs, Hannah and Mavis. All nice dogs are welcome. Please observe leash protocols when you see others on the trail, as will I.
This time of year, bring or wear bug spray and be bear prepared.
