Hello!
Kincaid Park is a 1,500-acre mecca for outdoor activity and sprawls over a rugged moraine at the southwest tip of the Anchorage Bowl. Some trails offer panoramic views of Denali and Cook Inlet, and others stay in the deep forest.
This route starts from Raspberry Road and makes a loop to the east through woods and meadows. According to Alltrails it is about 2.4 mile loop which sounds just right for our beginners.
Date & Time: Wednesday, 9/3/25 (tomorrow!), 4pm AKDT
Meeting Spot: the parking lot is on the right about 1/4 mile after entering the park.
Distance: 2.4 miles
Difficulty: Easy (moderate ups and downs)
What to Bring:
- Good hiking shoes/boots
- Water & snacks
- Weather-appropriate clothing (layers recommended)
- Bug spray & sunscreen
Dogs: Allowed on leash 🐾
Notes: plan to meet on time at the trailhead.
