### Loop Hike: Beaver Pond TH → California Creek → The Meadow → Abe’s Trail -> back to Beaver Pond TH
Trailhead: Beaver Pond Trailhead (Girdwood, AK)
Meetup Time: 9:00 AM
Distance: ~6–7 miles roundtrip
Elevation Gain: ~1,200 ft
Duration: 3–4 hours (moderate pace)
Join me and Hannah for a beautiful loop hike through forests, open meadows, and ridge views! We’ll start at the Beaver Pond Trailhead, follow California Creek Trail up to The Meadow, connect to Abe’s Trail, and loop back via Beaver Pond Trail and back to the parking lot.
This route offers a nice mix of terrain — gentle climbs, lush wooded sections, and open viewpoints over the valley. Great for hikers who like variety and quiet trails close to town.
What to Bring:
- Good hiking shoes (some roots and rocks)
- Water & snacks/lunch
- Layers — weather can change fast
- Bear spray (this is active bear/moose country)
- Trekking poles (optional but helpful)
We’ll take breaks for photos and enjoy lunch at the Meadow before heading back.
