## Wolverine Peak โ€“ Sunday, November 1 ๐Ÿฅพ

I'd really like to give Wolverine Peak a try before the weather gets too cold and winter conditions make it too difficult this year! Who's up for one more challenging mountain adventure?
We'll start at Prospect Heights and make our way through the forest before climbing into alpine terrain, with spectacular views of Anchorage, Cook Inlet, and the surrounding Chugach Mountains.
Hike Details:

  • Distance: Approximately 9โ€“10 miles round trip
  • Elevation gain: Approximately 3,500 feet
  • Difficulty: Strenuous
  • Trail: Out and back
  • Meeting location: Prospect Heights Trailhead

This is a demanding hike with sustained climbing and exposed terrain. Please be comfortable with steep trails and a longer hiking day.

Bring: Warm layers, gloves, water, snacks, hiking poles, traction devices, and bear spray.

Important: We'll assess trail and weather conditions before heading out. Snow and ice may prevent us from reaching the summit, and we'll turn around if conditions become unsafe.

Everyone hikes at their own risk. Let's see if we can squeeze in Wolverine Peak before winter takes over! ๐Ÿ”๏ธ
