Let's meet for kickball beginners level co-ed in the Heights area at Love Park. We will be using an adult WAKA kickball.
The rules of kickball are similar to the rules of baseball/softball except you kick a ball with your feet instead of hitting the ball with a bat. The one big difference is that you can throw the ball at a player to "tag" them out.
For this event, we will follow the rules below:

  1. You can only throw a ball at a runner's waist and below. If you throw the ball at them above their waist, the runner will automatically get to take the base that they were running to. Whenever a defensive player throws a ball at the runner, if the runner catches the ball, the runner is automatically awarded the base that they were running to.
  2. A player is allowed 3 four balls. Each foul ball counts as a strike. If you kick a ball foul 4 times you are out. Not many people kick and miss a ball but if you do that counts as a strike. Just like in baseball and softball, 3 strikes and the player is out. If the pitcher throws 4 balls out of the strike zone this will result in a walk to first base.
  3. Play Nice and have fun
