Best Potter in the World: Beginners Pottery Club

Welcome to Beginners Pottery Club, a community for people who want to step away from the digital world, make things with their hands, and meet other creative people in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

We host recurring pottery gatherings in Brooklyn, combining hands-on ceramic making with good conversation, drinks, and a chance to explore your own creativity.

Our next gathering will take place at the wonderful Joy Flower Pot in Williamsburg on Saturday, September 19.

Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced craft hound, everyone is welcome. These workshops are designed to be playful, open and educational, with plenty of guidance while still giving you the freedom to follow your own ideas.

🏺 What we'll be making

We'll explore a variety of hand-building techniques and create functional and sculptural vessels such as:

• Mugs
• Tea-ware
• Vases
• Bowls and other vessels
• Your own projects and ideas

You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own ideas. No previous pottery experience is required.

All clay, ceramic paints, textures, tools, professional firing and glazing are included.

🍹 Pottery + Drinks

This is more than a traditional pottery class. It's an opportunity to slow down, make something, have a drink, and spend an evening with other creative people.

Your $110 ticket includes the full three-hour pottery experience, all materials, professional firing and glazing, and light in-house-made beverages from Joy Flower Pot.

Come on your own, bring a friend, or make it a creative date night.

By the end of the workshop, you'll have learned the fundamentals of hand-building and will have the knowledge to continue making your own pottery at home.
