Being Social New in Town

You're relatively new in town. I get it. Been there, done that—got the t-shirt!

You've probably found that 'Iowa nice' is all fine and good, but all too often it's just a smile and a wave.

You want to meet new, likeminded people, explore personalities and interests, and possibly collaborate toward group activities at public venues. That's what you moved here hoping to find!

But, maybe you don't know where to go and what to say to meet new people? Wallah!

At 'Being Social: New in Town,' we'll interact through icebreaker activities and other table talk that will bring out personalities and spark friendly conversation. Pretty standard stuff.

After that, who knows—we'll worry about that later. Maybe you just want to see what happens the next time we Meetup.

Logistics:
We'll meet in the food court so you can grab something to eat and not eat it alone. :) We'll be sitting close to the fireplace.

No need to bring anything—just a friendly demeanor and a willingness to say, "Hi, I'm _________." Actually, bring a sense of humor—that always helps!
