BeJS #2 : Javascript meetup in Brussels

B2A solutions and Huxley associates are happy to invite you for the second edition of BeJS meetup (javascript meetup) in the heart of Brussels.

=> 19:15 : Implementing powerful offline experiences with Workbox (45 min) presented by Sam Vloeberghs

Implementing offline functionality has been a challenge in the past. Very different technologies enabled offline capabilities in the browser, but with the rise of service worker support the game has changed. Workbox by Google is built with the goal to make developing Progressive Web Apps and offline behaviour using service workers easy.

In this talk we will first go through some short history of offline technologies. Next we will explore the functionalities of Workbox that allow us to create PWA and more specifically powerful offline experiences for our applications.

In order to provide you with the best experience possible, we decided to add some rules, so that everyone can enjoy the meetup :

• Our meetups have a limited capacity of 50 persons.
• In order to attend you have to RSVP on meetup (This will be changed with another way later this year)
• Members of the community who RSVP and then don't show up three times will be removed from the group. ( As we have limited capacity we would like to avoid people not being able to attend because others RSVPed yes and did not show up... If you're not coming please RSVP no so that people in the waiting list can attend)
