B2A solutions and Huxley are glad to announce that we will have Maël, as the next speaker to our online meetup. Maël has led Yarn's development for the past three years. First at Facebook, now at Datadog, he's part of the JavaScript infrastructure team in charge of building great tools to support product teams across the company.

18:45 => How Yarn 2 will improve your workflows: Managing a JavaScript project isn’t always easy. You need to be careful about keeping your dependencies up-to-date, make your installs fast enough that they don’t slow down your CI, ensure that pull requests don’t accidentally add dependencies you wouldn’t want, setup the right versioning to only release what actually changed… that’s a lot of things to be aware of, and finding how to achieve those goals isn’t always easy.

Fortunately, Yarn can help you! In fact, a lot of those stories can be solved by using old or new features. Whether you’re using Yarn Classic or the more recent Yarn 2, you’ll leave this talk with a better understanding of how you could spend less time doing package manager maintenance, and more time working on what you actually enjoy - your product.

This talk will be followed by a Q&A session - prepare your questions to ask Maël, the lead of the Yarn project! Curious about Yarn 2? Wondering what it’ll mean for Yarn 1? Wondering what’s the big killer feature in Yarn? Fire them off!

  • In order to attend you have to RSVP on meetup (This will be changed with another way later this year)

  • The Zoom meeting will be password protected this time (Only people who RSVPed yes will get the password )

  • do not share the password or the link of the meetup on social networks. if you want to invite someone ask them to rsvp on the meetup event.

  • In order to have more protection against spammers: Please use the same name that you have on meetup to connect to the meeting. Only people that will be in the RSVP list of the meetup event will be admitted to the meeting.
