About us
A playful space where art, wellbeing, and human connection meet.
Hi! I’m Elena, an Italian artist and teacher from Bologna, now based in London. I’ve always been passionate about creativity and began studying Fine Arts and Sciences in my teens, specialising in architecture and design.
I hold first-class degrees, including a BA in Painting and Photography from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna (where I also worked as a professor’s assistant in the etching course), a Graduate Diploma in Fine Arts from Chelsea College of Arts, and a Master’s degree in Art and Science from Central Saint Martins (UAL). I’m also certified in Creative Health and Wellbeing through Artmaking from Central Saint Martins and hold an Enhanced DBS check, as I teach on well-known platforms such as Tutorful and MyTutor. I have a background in Reiki and meditation and experience teaching yoga, which influences the way I approach creativity and teaching.
Alongside my studio practice, I’ve worked as a photographer and graphic designer for Italian and international artists, assisted in galleries and restoration studios, and exhibited my work in Bologna, Venice, Milan, and London.
As artistic practice can be isolating at times, teaching became my way of sharing what I know, connecting with others, and creating meaningful moments through artmaking.
I love teaching because I enjoy connecting with people and seeing how art can be truly transformative. My classes are open to anyone curious about creativity, with no prior experience needed. I aim to make my workshops as accessible, allergy-friendly, and environmentally sustainable as possible, and I’ve taught students of all ages and nationalities, both online and in person, one-to-one and in group settings.
My approach is relaxed and playful, encouraging you to connect with materials, with others, and with yourself in a supportive, colourful, and joyful space.
At BE Ka Art Studio, you’ll find classes both in person and online, where you can explore your creativity and meet new people in a welcoming and friendly artistic environment.
