Testing CLI Go applications with testscript by Jakub Jarosz

In this talk we will learn how to use the testscript package for testing CLI Go applications, how to extend it and how to use it's SDL along existing unit tests. The talk will cover a subset of this material (https://github.com/qba73/dublin-go-meetup) with some additional examples and lessons learnt.

A Greybeard Discusses Ent(s) via Treebeard by Simon Hewitt

Ent (https://entgo.io) is an entity framework for Go that can be used to simplify working with databases. This talk will explain what Ent is, demonstrate how to use it via the domain of the Lord of the Rings and compare it to other tools and frameworks. We will also take a brief detour via Atlas (https://atlasgo.io) to demonstrate managing our schemas.

Despite using Lord of the Rings for the demo it has been promised that the talk will be shorter than the movies, and more entertaining than The Hobbit
