Details
New Year, new BelfAWSt event, new leadership team!
Come join us on 23rd January to learn all about the big announcements that happened in Las Vegas at the end of November. Our goal for this event is not to simply run through the slide deck but to pull out the interesting bits from the official deck, sprinkle on some advice then have a panel of people who attended discuss their opinions.
We’ll cover off some announcements with lightning talks from some excellent speakers:
- "A pragmatic look at GenAI on AWS" - Gillian Armstrong, Senior Solutions Architect at AWS
- "Bedrock & Knowledge Bases: Stumbling block or stepping stone?" - Tom Bailey, Software Engineer II at Instil
- "First impressions of the new Kotlin AWS SDK" - Garth Gilmour, Developer Advocate at Jetbrains
Then move onto a panel with some attendees from this year’s conference:
- Gillian Armstrong, Senior Solutions Architect at AWS
- Chloe McAree, Senior Software Engineer at Hamilton Robson and AWS Community Builder
- Simona Gaspierikova, Software Engineer I at Instil and All Builders Welcome Grant winner
- Luciano Mammino, Senior Architect at fourTheorem, AWS Hero and Microsoft MVP
- Matthew Wilson, Distinguished Engineer at Instil and AWS Community Builder
Chaired by Kristi Perreault, Principal Software Engineer at Liberty Mutual and AWS Hero
Sponsors:
The space will be sponsored by Liberty IT and there will be food that will kindly be sponsored by Instil
We hope to see you all there!
Chloe, Kristi, Matthew W and Matt C
