tf-profile, our Swiss Army Knife to debug Terraform - Quinten Bruynseraede
Working with Terraform at scale can be challenging. In one particularly large project, we found ourselves bumping into the limits of what Terraform can handle. While getting our hands dirty to refactor the code, there were many questions we couldn’t easily answer: which resources take long to update? Do we have unexpected dependencies? How deep are our modules nested?
I created a CLI tool - tf-profile - designed to answer these questions, and more. It will read your Terraform logs and make them usable: summarise or visualise the changes, search for resources and filter down to their details. It’s a tool you hope you don’t need, but we’re happy to have it in our toolbox.
Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework Implementation in Terraform - Nicolas Paradis
Nicolas Paradis is a DevOps and Cloud Engineer with a passion for optimizing and automating infrastructure. Specializing in Microsoft Azure, he designs scalable cloud solutions, using Terraform to streamline deployment for seamless and reliable environments.
In this session, we'll explore the deployment of the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework at a client's location, incorporating Terraform into the process. We'll delve into both the highlights and hiccups, offering practical insights and reflections on what worked well and what didn't.
