Our HashiCorp User Group is making a comeback with the Back to School Edition on September 9th at our trusty location in Kontich.

Bert De Knijf, Terraform enthusiast from day one, shares the outcome of that exact exercise. He compared Terraform, CDK, and Pulumi head-to-head, using real requirements from their platform. Expect a candid breakdown of pros and cons, real-life context, and the reasoning that led to a bold choice: Pulumi.

👨‍🏫 Session 2 – Vault on Nomad: Secure Secrets at Scale

Secrets are at the heart of every modern application, but managing them across dynamic workloads can be tricky. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to run HashiCorp Vault as a Nomad job and securely consume secrets in other Nomad workloads.

We’ll cover the full workflow, from deploying Vault with Nomad, to configuring auto-authentication, to injecting secrets into running jobs with Vault Agent and templates. Along the way, you’ll see best practices for secret rotation, reducing blast radius, and integrating with Nomad’s identity system.

By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with the knowledge and practical examples to run Vault on Nomad confidently and deliver secrets securely to your own applications.
